## MCP tool

`manitu_vserver_get`

### Description for the model

Returns one virtual server (vServer) of the manitu customer account this connection works in, by its vserver_id from manitu_vserver_list (never guess one): description, hostname, status, power state (as manitu last saw it), plan and hardware, IPv4/IPv6 with gateway and reverse DNS, whether the rescue system and the VNC console are on, and the workflows still running on it (e.g. a reboot just asked for). For the operating systems it can be reinstalled with use manitu_vserver_product_get. Not found if the account has no such vServer; refused if this access may not see it.

### Arguments

- `vserver_id` (integer | string, required) - The vserver_id from manitu_vserver_list - never guess one. (pattern `"^[1-9][0-9]*$"`; minimum `1`)

### Example

```json
{
  "jsonrpc": "2.0",
  "id": 1,
  "method": "tools/call",
  "params": {
    "name": "manitu_vserver_get",
    "arguments": {
      "vserver_id": 12345
    }
  }
}
```

## REST

`POST https://api.manitu.de/v1/vserver/get`

### Authentication

One of `X-API-Key`, `Authorization: Bearer …` - never more than one in a request.

### Request body

JSON; unknown fields are refused.

- `vserver_id` (integer | string, required) - The vserver_id from manitu_vserver_list - never guess one. (pattern `"^[1-9][0-9]*$"`; minimum `1`)

### Response

In `data`; the rest of the body as on every call.

- `vserver_id` (integer, required) - The id of the vServer - what manitu_vserver_get and every route on it take (the same number as service_id).
- `service_id` (integer, required) - The id of the service instance - the same number as the id its own routes take (e.g. vserver_id).
- `service_type` (string, required) - The kind of service, e.g. vserver - its own data is under the key of that name. (one of `"vserver"`, `"other"`)
- `description` (string | null, required) - What the customer wrote about it (his description), null if nothing - not its name or user name.
- `status` (string, required) - Its state as a service, e.g. active. (one of `"active"`, `"provisioning"`, `"suspended"`, `"destroying"`, `"deleted"`)
- `is_configurable` (boolean, required) - It can be changed right now - false e.g. while suspended.
- `plan` (string | null, required) - The plan, e.g. "vServer M".
- `plan_code` (string | null, required) - The plan as a code, e.g. "vserver_server_m".
- `contract_id` (integer | null, required) - The contract it runs under.
- `vserver` (object, required) - What is the vServer's own.
  - `vserver.hostname` (string | null, required) - Its hostname as manitu keeps it, if set.
  - `vserver.power_state` (string | null, required) - e.g. running or stopped - as manitu last saw it: updated with every workflow on the server and once a day, so a shutdown from inside the server may not show yet; null if unknown. (one of `"stopped"`, `"running"`, `"suspended"`, `"installing"`, `null`)
  - `vserver.ipv4_address` (string | null, required) - Its IPv4 address.
  - `vserver.ipv6_address` (string | null, required) - Its IPv6 address.
  - `vserver.hardware` (object, required) - What the plan comes with.
    - `vserver.hardware.cpu_cores` (integer | null, required)
    - `vserver.hardware.ram_gb` (integer | null, required)
    - `vserver.hardware.disk_gb` (integer | null, required)
    - `vserver.hardware.disk_type` (string | null, required) - e.g. "SSD".
  - `vserver.network` (object, required)
    - `vserver.network.ipv4` (object | null, required)
      - `vserver.network.ipv4.address` (string | null, required)
      - `vserver.network.ipv4.prefix` (integer | null, required)
      - `vserver.network.ipv4.netmask` (string | null, required) - IPv4 only.
      - `vserver.network.ipv4.gateway` (string | null, required)
      - `vserver.network.ipv4.ptr_record` (string | null, required) - The reverse DNS name of the address.
    - `vserver.network.ipv6` (object | null, required)
      - `vserver.network.ipv6.address` (string | null, required)
      - `vserver.network.ipv6.prefix` (integer | null, required)
      - `vserver.network.ipv6.netmask` (string | null, required) - IPv4 only.
      - `vserver.network.ipv6.gateway` (string | null, required)
      - `vserver.network.ipv6.ptr_record` (string | null, required) - The reverse DNS name of the address.
  - `vserver.rescue_system_enabled` (boolean, required) - It boots into manitu's rescue system instead of its own disk.
  - `vserver.vnc_enabled` (boolean, required) - The VNC console is switched on.
- `pending_workflow_list` (array of object, required) - Workflows on it that are still running, oldest first - e.g. a reboot just asked for.
  - `pending_workflow_list[].workflow` (string, required) - What is being done, e.g. a reboot. (one of `"create"`, `"destroy"`, `"power_start"`, `"power_stop"`, `"power_reboot"`, `"reinstall"`, `"ptr_set"`, `"vnc_enable"`, `"vnc_disable"`, `"rescuesystem_enable"`, `"rescuesystem_disable"`, `"snapshot_create"`, `"snapshot_delete"`, `"snapshot_delete_all"`, `"snapshot_revert"`, `"telemetry_await"`, `"iso_eject"`)
  - `pending_workflow_list[].workflow_id` (string, required) - The id of this run of the workflow.
  - `pending_workflow_list[].created_at` (string | null, required) - When it was asked for. (format `date-time`)
  - `pending_workflow_list[].started_at` (string | null, required) - When it started; null while it waits for the next run - usually a minute or two, at times longer. Nothing to tell the customer unless asked. (format `date-time`)

### Statuses

- `200` Success.
- `400` The request does not match the declared input schema.
- `401` No credential was presented, or it was not recognised.
- `403` The credential is not permitted to use this operation.
- `500` The server failed. Nothing about the request was wrong. Whether a change took effect is not known - check before trying it again.
- `503` The channel this operation forwards through is unavailable.
